Edo Sofa System

Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune
Made by Arflex

Starts at: $15,366

Description
The newly introduced Edo sofa system, a creation of the Swedish architectural firm Claesson Koivisto Rune, echoes the Tokio sofa system in its overall dimensions and range of elements, while preserving a unique, softened architectural aesthetic. What sets the Edo apart is its innovative seat design, which features a separate seat cushion and base. Despite its unified appearance, the Edo has undergone a complete internal redesign for superior comfort. The name 'Edo', like its counterpart 'Tokio', harks back to the 17th-century name for Japan's capital, a nod to the Japanese penchant for soft, organic forms in their design ethos. The name 'Edo', evocative of the feel of a smooth, rounded object, was chosen as a fitting tribute for this collection.
